A photo of two dummies hanging from a tree outside of a Florida home near a Trump/Pence yard sign has prompted outrage online.
The photo was taken in Kendall, a suburb of Miami, and was confirmed as authentic to the Miami New Times by the Three Lakes Property Owners Association, who manages the property.
After the New Times ran a story about the display, a man who said he lynched the dummies called in to say what he did is “not racist.” Then someone put up a sign near the dummies that reads: “Please don’t be ignorant it’s Halloween!”
Man hangs black mannequins in tree next to his Trump yard sign. Claims just “Halloween”. This is why I don’t give a shit about those emails. pic.twitter.com/4whdomAdNv

The man who called the paper didn’t give his name. A woman who was also on the call claimed the Trump sign was in the yard next door. It’s not clear from additional photos, however, that she was giving accurate information.
Mashable called the property managers at Three Lakes Property Owners Association, but they haven’t returned the call at the time of this writing.
The property manager did tell The Miami New Times that they’re taking the lynching display “seriously” and “everybody’s concerned.”
White Americans have made it something of a tradition to make racist displays every Halloween. So many white people wear blackface every year, for example, that people are writing preemptively exasperated articles about why blackface is racist and no one should ever wear it.
But it keeps happening.
A University of Central Arkansas student and fraternity member was recently expelled from the fraternity for (you guessed it) wearing blackface to a party.
Two students were suspended from a Pennsylvania college a month before Halloween after they took a few Snapchat videos featuring one of them a white woman wearing blackface.
